James Smith

James Smith is a highly experienced IT professional with over two decades of expertise in systems administration and engineering. Currently serving as a Systems Administrator II at The Jackson Laboratory since March 2020, James leads Jamf engineering and architecture efforts, achieving significant improvements in macOS compliance and management. Previously, James held various roles at Sanofi from 1999 to February 2020, including Computer Devices Build Team Lead and Information Specialist, where responsibilities ranged from managing large-scale software deployments to leading technical teams in developing Windows imaging solutions. James holds a diploma from Framingham High School and pursued further education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
