Johnnie Dotson

Johnnie Dotson, Ph.D., serves as a Portfolio Manager at The Jackson Laboratory, overseeing academic and pharmaceutical projects across multiple U.S. regions since February 2018. Previously, Johnnie held roles as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager within JAX Mice and Clinical Research Services. Prior to joining The Jackson Laboratory, Johnnie was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Arizona, leading research on diabetes and vision, and also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Pima Community College, where curriculum development and lecture presentation were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes another postdoctoral role at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, focusing on neuro-oncology research and laboratory management. Johnnie holds a PhD in Pharmacological and Physiological Science from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, along with a BA in Biology and a Certificate in Forensic Science from Saint Louis University.
