Judith Blake

Judith Blake is a Professor Emeritus at The Jackson Laboratory, where research spans functional and comparative genome informatics, focusing on developing systems for integrating and analyzing genetic, genomic, and phenotypic information since May 2006. Prior roles included Associate Professor at the same institution and Scientific Staff at The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) from 1993 to 1996, contributing to the curation of Human ESTs and the sequencing of early genomes. Additionally, experience at The Smithsonian Institution from 1989 to 1993 involved research in molecular systematics related to bird species. Judith Blake earned a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Connecticut.
