Matt Simon

Matt Simon is a Senior Study Director at The Jackson Laboratory since November 2022, with prior experience as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Rochester from July 2015 to October 2022. Matt's career began at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where involvement spanned from a Postdoctoral Fellow to a Graduate Student from August 2008 to June 2015. Earlier, Matt worked as a Laboratory Technician at the Florida Institute of Technology from January 2005 to May 2008, focusing on basic research and laboratory maintenance, including techniques such as PCR and bacterial transformation. Matt holds a PhD in Genetics from the UNC School of Medicine (2008-2013) and two Bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology (2004-2008).
