Alex Loomis

Head of Creative at Jackson Spalding

Alex Loomis has extensive work experience in various creative and leadership roles. They are currently serving as the Head of Creative at Jackson Spalding since July 2021.

Prior to this, Alex was the Co-Founder of Loominocity, Inc. since June 2004. Loominocity is a product design company specializing in decorative LED-lighting applications. They initially designed and manufactured handmade self-illuminating ornaments and currently license patents and proprietary designs to major industry manufacturers.

From 2018 to July 2021, Alex founded and served as the Executive Producer of Good Gravy Productions, focusing on content creation with high production values and cost-effectiveness.

In the field of integrated creative and copywriting, Alex worked as the Integrated Creative Director at Content Creation and Production from September 2017 to July 2021. They also co-founded The Revival House during the same period, serving as the Chief Creative Officer.

Alex joined Otto Radio, Inc. as the Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Content Development in May 2015. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the Otto Radio brand and overseeing all consumer-facing brand assets and marketing efforts.

Prior to Otto Radio, Alex worked as the Executive Creative Director at mcgarrybowen from September 2013 to May 2015. They were recruited to fully integrate the global Chevron account across all channels and worldwide business units.

From 2009 to 2013, Alex served as the Creative Director at Havas Worldwide - New York, initially hired as the Associate Creative Director on Charles Schwab and later promoted to run the entire account.

Before that, Alex was an Associate Creative Director at BBDO New York from January 2008 to January 2009. They led the creative team for AT&T's Small Business division and contributed to strategic leadership for the overall AT&T brand, GE Innovations brand work, M&Ms product launches, and pro-bono work for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

In 2007, Alex was the Co-Creative Director at PCD, overseeing strategic planning and creative development for Volkswagen, McDonald's, and Kraft Foods. They were brought in to transition PCD from a project studio to a full-service interaction design agency.

Overall, Alex Loomis possesses a diverse background in creative leadership, content creation, marketing, and product design throughout their career.

Alex Loomis completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, specifically focusing on Evolution, Behavior, and Ecology, from UC San Diego. This educational journey lasted from 1985 to 1991. After a break in education, Alex pursued an Advertising Degree with a specialization in Copywriting at The Creative Circus, completing it from 1995 to 1996.
