Jacobs Counsel is a boutique law firm for founders, athletes, creators, gaming operators, and the people building inside sports, entertainment, and technology.

The firm helps clients put the right legal structure around the work they are already doing. Deals. Partnerships. Licensing. Equity. Brand work. Compliance. Outside counsel support. Estate planning. The pieces that matter when momentum starts to build.

Founded in 2022, Jacobs Counsel was built for clients who need serious legal work without unnecessary friction. Most engagements are handled on a flat-fee basis, priced before work begins, so clients know what they are paying for up front.

The firm is also built to be AI-native. Technology supports drafting, research, review, and internal workflows, while attorney judgment stays focused on strategy, negotiation, risk, and the decisions that actually move a matter forward.

Jacobs Counsel is founder-led and intentionally lean. Clients get senior attention, clear communication, and legal support designed around the pace of modern business.

The firm’s work includes:

- Gaming law and licensing
- Startup outside counsel and OGC support
- NIL, athlete, creator, and entertainer representation
- Commercial contracts and brand deals
- Sports, entertainment, and technology transactions
- Estate planning for founders, high earners, and families building long-term wealth

Founder Drew Jacobs is a former Division I walk-on basketball player at Boston College and serves as Director of the Seton Hall University Gaming Law Bootcamp, now in its seventh year. He was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars in New Jersey for 2025 and New York Metro for 2026 in Entertainment & Sports Law.

Licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Ohio.
