Alan Brown is a Global Technology Lead for Dams at Jacobs, with over 35 years of experience in water resource development projects and dam, river, and geotechnical engineering across the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Alan is an All Reservoirs Panel Engineer and a UK Registered Ground Engineering Adviser. They were the lead author of the “Interim Guide to Quantitative Risk Assessment for UK Reservoirs” and co-authored the “Guide to Risk Assessment for Reservoir Safety Management.” Alan has held various leadership roles, including Principal Engineer at Howard Humphreys/KBR and Technical Director at Stillwater Associates UK. They earned a BA in Engineering from Cambridge University and a Master's degree in Soil Mechanics with distinction from Imperial College London.
