Alex Batten is the Technical Director – Geothermal & Process for Jacobs APAC, overseeing a regional technical practice across Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia. They have over 30 years of international experience in chemical and mechanical engineering, with a focus on geothermal project development for more than 20 years, including work in Indonesia, the Philippines, Kenya, and Latin America. Previously, Alex served as Country Manager for Jacobs Indonesia for twelve years and as Director of Operations for Jacobs New Zealand's Power business for four years. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Chemical & Materials from the University of Auckland, earned in 1988.
