Amanda Lake is a seasoned water and wastewater process engineer with extensive experience in the industry, currently serving as the Head of Carbon and Circular Economy for Water Europe at Jacobs since May 2022. With a history at Jacobs spanning from 2001 to 2022 in various leadership roles, including Water Process Lead and Divisional Director, Amanda has overseen numerous water and wastewater treatment projects across Europe. In addition to professional commitments, Amanda participates in voluntary roles as a Learned Society Committee member and Water SIG webinar co-lead for the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and leads a subgroup on GHG Monitoring for the International Water Association’s Climate Smart Utilities Community. Engagement in community initiatives includes co-chairing the Management Committee for Dig-In Bruntsfield Community Greengrocer, and advocating for carbon pricing with the Citizens' Climate Lobby. Amanda holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Queensland, along with an MSc in Water and Wastewater Treatment and a PGCert in Water Law.
