Andre Calado

Andre Calado is a dedicated CFD engineer with a robust background in fluid mechanics research. They served as a Research Fellow at Instituto Superior Técnico, focusing on porous media flow, and later contributed to projects at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, where they developed machine learning models for flapping aerodynamics. As a Senior CFD / Tunnel Ventilation Engineer at Jacobs, Andre specialized in tunnel ventilation solutions and fire safety analysis. Currently, they are a Graduate Research Assistant at The George Washington University, engaging in research on turbulent multiphase flow funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research while pursuing a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
