Andy Parsons

Andy Parsons is a mostly retired Senior Associate Director in Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management at Jacobs, with over twenty-five years of experience in coastal and estuarine engineering, having contributed to more than 100 projects across over 10 countries. They have worked in academic research, commercial consultancy, and the public sector, specializing in flood risk management, numerical modeling, and coastal design. Andy also served as a project manager for significant shoreline management plans, including a master plan for Romania's Black Sea coast. They hold a PhD and BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham and have authored 25 papers for journals and conferences.
