David Vaughan

Senior propulsion engineer for Commercial Crew Program

David Vaughan is an experienced propulsion system engineer and manager with a strong background in the Defense & Space industry. They worked at Lockheed Martin from 1980 to 1998, overseeing significant projects like the X-33 and Shuttle program. From 2001 to 2018, Vaughan managed a team at JPL, contributing to innovative technologies for Mars mission planning. Currently, they serve as a senior propulsion engineer for the Commercial Crew Program at Jacobs while pursuing a Master's degree in High Speed Aeronautics at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath.
