Edwin Lai is an engineer, urbanist, and advocate who is passionate about creating connected and inclusive cities on a global scale. Currently serving as a Senior Transport Planner at Jacobs, they lead the Strategy & Policy team within Integrated Transport & Mobility across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on sustainable transport innovations. With a strong background in project management and stakeholder engagement, Edwin collaborates with governments and businesses in the Asia-Pacific to promote resilient urban communities. Through the UN SDSN Youth’s Local Pathways Fellowship, they work alongside young urban leaders to localize Sustainable Development Goal 11. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from UNSW.
