Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas is a highly experienced Design Manager and Divisional Director at Jacobs, with a notable tenure since June 2014. Ian has led significant projects including the design of ventilation shafts for the Chiltern tunnels as part of the High Speed 2 initiative, and served as Tunnel Lead for the feasibility study of the Preston Ribble Crossing in Lancashire. Previous roles include Principal Tunnel Engineer at CH2M HILL, overseeing the Tottenham Court Road Station upgrade, and significant contributions at Jacobs Engineering where Ian specialized in transportation and utility tunnels. Ian holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Swansea University.
