Jim Cartwright, AIA, is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in the planning, design, and technical development of facilities focused on research and academic environments. Currently serving as Principal of Science and Research at Jacobs since November 2018, Jim has previously held the position of Principal and Owner at HERA Laboratory Planners from June 2003 to November 2018, where similar project scopes were emphasized. Earlier roles include Associate at Flad Architects and Christner Inc., where Jim contributed to significant projects such as the Microbiology Research Facility at the University of Minnesota and the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research at the University of Toronto. Jim earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Kansas, following earlier education at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
