Jim Thalmann

Jim Thalmann is the Director of Federal Procurement at Jacobs, where they lead a diverse team of over 100 procurement professionals. With more than thirty years of experience in contracts and procurement, Jim specializes in strategic sourcing and government acquisition. Jim's career includes significant roles as a Contracting Officer with the United States Air Force and as the Procurement Bureau Chief for the State of New Mexico. They hold a BS in Operations Research from the USAF Academy and an MS in Contracting and Acquisition Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Jim has established various procurement organizations and systems throughout their career, demonstrating a strong background in project management and compliance.
