Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith, P.E. is a seasoned Fire Protection and Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer at Jacobs, with experience since August 2011 on a variety of projects across multiple global regions, including the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Europe. Prior to this role, Kyle worked as a Fire Protection Engineer/Designer at Fire Planning Associates, where responsibilities included developing preplans and creating AutoCAD drawings. Earlier experience includes working as a carpenter at Mergen Company Builders and Remodelers. Kyle's educational background includes a B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, where involvement in a significant research project on sprinkler systems at Baltimore-Washington International Airport took place. Additional research experience includes an internship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, focused on phase change material for firefighting gear.
