Matt Thomson

Matt Thomson is a chartered civil engineer and the current Water Market Leader for Jacobs in New Zealand, where they oversee the business leadership of the Auckland Water Business. With extensive experience in the water sector, Matt has held various roles, including Project Director and Technical Reviewer, managing significant water and civil projects across the UK, New Zealand, and the Pacific. They are a Fellow of the UK Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and serve as the ICE Representative for New Zealand, having previously chaired its NZ Committee. Additionally, Matt has served as the past President of the Auckland University Engineers Association, actively engaging with the Dean of Engineering to connect alumni and industry with the academic community.
