Paul Nelson

Paul Nelson, CxA, is the Director of Commissioning Services at Jacobs Engineering, a position held since 2015. With a background in mechanical engineering and construction management, they have amassed extensive experience in various sectors, including healthcare and governmental projects. Previously, Paul served as a Sr. Project Manager and Commissioning Manager at Jacobs Engineering from 2005 to 2015, where they managed significant commissioning efforts and mentored junior staff. Their career began as a Mechanical Engineer at Hansen Lind Meyer and has included roles with WMA Consulting Engineers and EME Consulting Engineers, emphasizing project management and engineering design. Paul earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, between 1987 and 1989.
