Rick Abelson is a Global Vice President of Master Planning at Jacobs, where they lead innovative land planning and design initiatives that have contributed to an estimated USD $1.06 trillion in new projects globally. Previously serving as the Executive Vice President of Planning and Design at Aperion Companies and the Firmwide Design Practice Leader at Gensler Worldwide, they have built a reputation as an original thinker and respected designer in culturally significant developments. Rick is also the CEO and Founder of Online Land Planning, LLC, and has shared their expertise through numerous publications and speaking engagements. They hold a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University and have studied Urban Design at the University of Washington, as well as earning a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon.
