Stephen Sax

Stephen Sax is a Senior Environmental Compliance Manager at Jacobs, overseeing construction compliance for the Sound Transit E130 project since September 2022. Previously, Stephen served as an Environmental Project Manager at WaterTectonics, where responsibilities included managing environmental compliance on construction projects and providing technical assistance to clients. Stephen has extensive experience with the Washington State Department of Transportation as a Technical Lead and Environmental Compliance Team Lead, managing risks related to hazardous materials and leading interdisciplinary teams on major transportation projects. Earlier career roles include managing a water quality program and developing stewardship education programs at Washington State University Cooperative Extension. Stephen holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources Management and Administration from Antioch University New England, along with Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Studies and Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Montana.
