Steve Alt, PE, is a Global Principal in Desalination and Reuse with over 25 years of experience in membrane separation technology and environmental water and wastewater projects. They have served as Senior Project Engineer at SPI, where they led significant desalination and recycling projects, and held roles at Jacobs as the Western Regional Technology Leader and currently as Global Principal. They possess extensive expertise in microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis, with an impressive background as both a consulting engineer and a process engineer for a membrane manufacturer. They have published numerous papers on membrane processes and are currently leading their research at Stantec to advance membrane filtration and desalination practices.
