Jake’s projects is dedicated to the memory of Jacob Daniel Palet.

On October 30, 2018 Jake lost his life at the age of twenty years old when someone gave him a pill to help him sleep, unbeknownst to him it was laced with fentanyl. The poison stopped his heart, leaving his family, friends and teammates with a huge void.

Jake loved baseball, loved his teammates, loved coaching, loved winning and loved helping others have success through sports. Jake was an outstanding athlete but spent the last year of his life coaching the California Bears 14u kids as well as the Bonita Vista High School baseball teams.

After high school, Jake spent his time sharing his story about battles with depression and helping young players earn college scholarships through the great game of baseball.

This non-profit is designed to help kids play sports when costs keep them from chasing their dream. The money raised through Jake’s Projects pays for: uniforms, equipment, school supplies, field maintenance and education towards depression and the dangers of taking unprescribed medication.
