Carsten Krome

Carsten Krome is a Managing Partner at HATCH, a venture capital firm that focuses on investing in sustainable farmed and alternative seafood technologies, with a presence in Norway, Hawaii, and Singapore since November 2017. In addition to this role, Carsten serves as a board member for several organizations, including BioSort, SuperGround, Blue Pond Group, Umami Bioworks, Pacific Hybreed, CageEye (a Bluegrove Company), ChucaoTech, Kuehnle Agrosystems Inc., and Jala Tech Pte. Ltd. Carsten holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Feed Science from the University of Stirling, a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the Ifm-Geomar Institute of Marine Sciences, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Hamburg.
