Dave Markowitz

Dave Markowitz is an experienced Lead Animator currently heading the Animation Team at Jam City since March 2019, focusing on high-quality animations for games, including Emoji Blitz. Additionally, since 2012, Dave serves as a writer and online instructor for the GAM631 course at the Academy of Art University, helping MFA students prepare for their Midpoint Review. Prior roles include Lead Animator at Disney Interactive Games from February 2008 to March 2019, where responsibilities involved early-stage game creation, and at Evite.com from 2006 to January 2008, managing Flash animations and contract animators. Dave also held Lead Animator positions at Renegade Animation and Comedy Central, overseeing teams and project completions, and has worked as an animator at various other companies, including Hyperion and Mondo Media. Dave obtained a BFA in Animation and Illustration from the Academy of Art University and a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Character Animation from Animation Mentor.com.
