Tim Porter

Tim Porter is currently the Director at Jama Software. Prior to that, they were at Microsoft from August 2003 to October 2006 as the Director of Corporate Development where they were in charge of source, evaluation and execution of strategic acquisitions and investments for Microsoft. Tim also held the roles of Manager from 2003-2004 and Senior Manager from 2004-2006. Prior to working at Microsoft, Porter was a Summer Associate at Goldman Sachs in the Technology Investment Banking Group from June 2002 to August 2002. Porter's first job out of college was working as the Director of Finance at Eagle River Investments from June 2000 to June 2001. Eagle River Investments is a telecom focused private equity firm controlled by wireless pioneer Craig McCaw. Porter split their time between Eagle River and Teledesic during this time period. Porter's first job was working as the Director of Finance at Teledesic from October 1996 to July 2001. Teledesic was building a global satellite network to deliver high-quality, broadband communication services. Tim also held the roles of Financial Analyst and Associate while working at Teledesic.

Tim Porter has an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
