James Walsh Studio (JWS) is a Melbourne based design studio led by designer James Walsh, focused on creating furniture, lighting, objects, and innovative solutions with a deep commitment to sustainability. At JWS, we explore the potential of discarded and overlooked materials from across the manufacturing industry, transforming them into thoughtfully designed, functional, and enduring pieces.

Our approach goes beyond aesthetics, embracing a philosophy that considers the full lifecycle of materials and the environmental impact of production. Through experimentation, material investigation, and meticulous design, JWS seeks to reimagine what is often forgotten, proving that beauty, function, and sustainability can coexist.

Driven by curiosity and a hands-on approach, JWS crafts designs that are both contemporary and meaningful, challenging traditional practices and inspiring a more responsible approach to material use within design.
