Lastly, Dan's earlier experience includes working as a Field Crew Lead at Earth Corps from May 2008 to December 2008, where they supervised a crew and coordinated project logistics for environmental restoration projects.

Dan Schwartz attended Code Fellows in 2015, where they studied web development. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Environmental Horticulture degree from the University of Washington, specializing in urban ecology, environmental restoration, and green infrastructure from 2009 to 2011. Before their master's, they graduated from Macalester College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 2014, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
