Jun Torii

Senior Software Engineer, Android at Jane Technologies, Inc.

Jun Torii has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. They started their career as a Technical Consultant at CSDC Systems Inc. in 2012, where they worked on investigating and creating demos for web-based products. In 2013, they served as a Mobile & Java Software Developer at EmployTouch, where they worked on bug fixes, feature implementation, and assisted with QA for Android MDM software.

Later in 2013, they joined Intuit as a Software Developer, responsible for developing and maintaining ProFile Connect for Android and iOS. They implemented major features like a PDF viewer for Android and new iOS 7 look-and-feel.

In 2014, Torii worked as a Web Games Engineer at Lumos Labs, responsible for localization, prototyping, and redesigning Word Bubbles Rising using ActionScript 3 and Adobe Flash CC.

They moved on to Lumos Labs again in 2015, this time as a Mobile Games Engineer, where they implemented new languages for mobile games and began the process of porting Word Bubbles from web to mobile.

In the same year, Torii joined Electronic Arts (EA) as an Associate Programmer, contributing to the development of scalable servers for mobile games.

From 2016 to 2023, Torii worked at Konrad Group, starting as a Software Developer and gradually moving up to the role of Software Architect. They were involved in Android and iOS development for various clients, using technologies such as Kotlin, Rx, LiveData, Swift, Retrofit, Gson, and others.

Their most recent work experience, starting in 2023, is at Jane Technologies, Inc., where they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Android development.

Jun Torii completed their Bachelor of Software Engineering degree in Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, Jun attended Port Credit Secondary School from 2009 to 2011 and Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Jun obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in February 2021.
