Domagoj Pluščec

Domagoj Pluščec has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Domagoj is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Janea Systems since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at FER as a Researcher from January 2022 to March 2023, where they led a project on event extraction for real-time threat detection and mentored students. From September to December 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer 2 at Microsoft, focusing on Microsoft Office Modern Workplace Transformations. Domagoj also held various roles at Microsoft, including Software Engineer, where they developed content curation tools and services for licensed and community content moderation for Microsoft News.

Prior to their time at Microsoft, Domagoj worked as a Machine Learning Intern at TakeLab FER from October 2018 to September 2019. Domagoj started their professional journey at Youth Research Center in June 2014, where they served as the Organization President until July 2019. In this role, they led multiple teams and organized programs and events to promote science and technology among university and high school students.

During their time at FER, Domagoj worked as a Software Engineering Intern from July 2015 to April 2019, involved in multiple software engineering projects, including Python and Android development. Domagoj also served as a Student Assistant from October 2014 to June 2016.

In 2017, Domagoj participated in the Ericsson Nikola Tesla Summer Camp as part of Ericsson, where they conducted open-ended research on applications of machine learning in network performance optimization.

Domagoj Pluščec has a diverse education history. Domagoj completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from FER (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing) between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from FER between 2014 and 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Domagoj Pluščec has a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification from the National Instruments Certification Department, which they obtained in May 2016. Domagoj also has various online certifications such as Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science from edX (December 2014), Effective Thinking Through Mathematics from edX (May 2014), Calculus: Single Variable from Coursera (April 2014), Model Thinking from Coursera (April 2014), The Future of Storytelling - Online Course from iversity (October 2013), and several others obtained from edX and Coursera. Furthermore, they obtained their high school diploma from XV.gimnazija between 2010 and 2014.
