Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis has extensive experience in security analysis and consulting, primarily focusing on issues related to terrorism, insurgency, and organized crime in the Asian region. Since 1988, Davis has worked at Janes as a Security Analyst, contributing to publications such as Jane's Terrorism & Security Monitor and Jane's Defence Weekly, while also having significant fieldwork experience in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Myanmar. From 2011 to 2016, Davis served as a Security Consultant for the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, advising on security risks in southern Thailand. Prior roles include a Security Consultant for Allen-Vanguard, and a Correspondent/Photographer for Time Magazine, where coverage spanned conflicts in Afghanistan and Southeast Asia. Davis began a career in journalism as a Correspondent for The Washington Post, reporting on various significant historical events. Academically, Davis holds a post-graduate diploma in Modern Chinese history and revolutionary warfare from Nanjing University and a Bachelor's degree in Asian studies and Chinese language from The Australian National University.
