Nick Brown is a seasoned professional in the defence sector with extensive experience leading research and analysis teams. Currently serving as Director of Janes Defence Insight since December 2019, Nick oversees a global team responsible for producing reference data and news content in the defence arena. Before this role, Nick directed research and analysis efforts focusing on maritime defence and acquisition opportunities. Prior experience includes a stint at IHS Markit as Director of Research and Analysis for Naval Platforms and Weapons. Nick holds a Master of Arts in Global Security from Keele University and a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies with a focus on Defence and Security Issues from the University of Bradford. Additionally, Nick is pursuing further education at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
