Senior R&D engineer at JangaFX

Gil Damoiseaux began their work experience in 1993 at Siemens Nixdorf as a Software Engineer. Gil then worked at Appeal as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 2002, where they were the lead programmer on a game called No Respect and contributed to the development of Outcast. From 2003 to 2011, they worked at NeuroTV as a senior R&D Engineer and 3D product line manager, focusing on the development of a real-time 3D engine. In 2011, they joined I.R.I.S. Product and Technologies as a Senior Analyst Programmer. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at AMA studios as a Senior Engine Developer, specializing in in-game special effects. In 2013, they co-founded Incubhacker ASBL, and in 2014, they worked as a Freelance Software Developer at Ignishot SRL. Since 2019, they have been a Senior R&D Engineer at JangaFX, primarily working on the development of Embergen, a real-time fluid simulation software, and GeoGen, a real-time terrain generator. Additionally, they have been a Teacher at Haute École Albert Jacquard (HEAJ) since 2005, teaching technical art courses in video games, including advanced shader techniques and game production.

Gil Damoiseaux attended ISMA from 1982 to 1988. After that, from 1988 to 1993, they studied computer science at the Université de Namur. No degree name was provided for either education experience.
