David Pearson

David Pearson currently serves as the Director of Engineering, overseeing operations since March 2025. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Square from June 2018 to March 2025, where leadership was provided for the Web Engineering team focused on E-commerce, Staff, and Customer products with an emphasis on strategic goals and user satisfaction. David also held positions leading the E-commerce Engineering team and the Square Online teams, significantly contributing to annual revenue and performance improvements. In addition to engineering roles, David has worked as a part-time Engineering Coach at MentorCruise since February 2022, mentoring engineers and managers globally. Previous experience includes engineering management at Weebly, software engineering at Le Site and CRI agence, and database administration at CGI, with educational qualifications in Computer Science from Cégep de Chicoutimi.
