Principal, Senior Architectural Technician at Jasmax

Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the architectural and construction industries. Beginning his career in the UK, Chris worked for 10 years in construction, specifically on design build projects before moving to New Zealand 23 years ago.

Since joining Jasmax in 1996, Chris has gained extensive experience in the management and successful delivery of large scale multi-faceted projects across a broad range of sectors.

Chris has been project architect on significant award-winning projects including Sovereign House, Air NZ Regional Terminal in Christchurch and ASB Bank’s headquarters at North Wharf, Auckland.

Chris was project architect on the recently completed Ernest Rutherford Building, Phase One of the RRSIC Redevelopment project for the University of Canterbury.

Combined with client liaison and consultant coordination, Chris has extensive experience in the facets of developed design, documentation and contract administration.

Key strengths lie within project coordination and an in-depth knowledge of construction systems, processes and materials. Chris’ considerable design and technical experience and the practical application of this is can be seen in the many buildings that he has successfully delivered meeting and exceeding clients functional and aesthetic goals.
