Edward Jolly

Edward is a Senior Urban Designer at Jasmax with over 19 years’ experience in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. Edward leads the Jasmax Urban Design discipline in Christchurch. He has broad global experience in delivering a range of projects in both the private and public sectors. His experience includes the delivery of large scale strategic plans, landuse and transportation strategies as well as site specific master planning and the design of public space and streets.

Edward provides expertise in the design of the built environment. He has dual qualifications in Urban Design and Landscape Architecture give him the ability to navigate between ‘building and space’, providing a holistic design approach. He has a track record in delivering award-winning public realm and landscape projects and is an advocate for stakeholder and community input into the design process.

Edward has a particular interest in placemaking and designing with local character in mind. Edward has developed expertise in urban design aspects of public transport projects. Edward has recently provided urban design leadership in projects such as the Auckland City Rail Link and light rail studies in Auckland and An Accessible City in Christchurch. He has a focus in realising the benefits and opportunities which rapid public transport bring to both private development and urban environments more generally.
