Matthew Glubb

Acting CEO, Principal, Registered Architect & Head of Design at Jasmax

Matthew is a Principal at Jasmax with over 15 years’ experience as an architect. He has a passion for driving innovative solutions designed to add value and create better outcomes for all stakeholders. He has a natural affinity for large-scale, complex projects, those typically found within the public realm and in the infrastructure sector. Here Matthew’s recent experience includes the adaptive re-use of Shed 10, transforming the heritage building into a functional Cruise Terminal and Event space for Waterfront Auckland (now a part of Panuku Development Auckland).

Matthew has a thorough understanding of a wide range of building typologies and industry best practice. He utilises this knowledge to continue exploring new ideas and challenge accepted conventions. At Jasmax, Matthew leads a young, vibrant studio who are known for their creative energy and commitment to design excellence.

Matthew provides Jasmax with the capability to deliver rigorous, innovative design concepts and solutions. His experience leading the design of large-scale, complex, multi-stakeholder projects is a rarity within New Zealand. As is his experience delivering several key transport infrastructure projects, including the Parnell Station Transport-Orientated-Development, the Auckland Regional Rail Station Upgrades and the first phase of the City Rail Link development.
