Jamie Crane's work experience begins in 2009 when they worked as a Sports Reporter during a work experience program at The Press York. During this time, they researched and wrote sport articles, conducted interviews, and had their work published multiple times.
In 2011, Jamie became a Programme Contributor for York City Football Club, where they won the Young Sports Writer of the Year competition held by the York Press in 2009.
In 2014, Jamie interned at Founder Media, where they interviewed Western entrepreneurs who set up businesses in Beijing and wrote articles based on their responses. They also edited video interviews, helped develop social media strategies, and translated articles.
In 2016, Jamie worked as a Sports PR Intern at PHA Media, securing coverage for clients in various publications, including Mail Online and Daily Star.
From 2017 to present, Jamie has been with Jaywing, starting as a Junior Account Executive before working their way up to Senior Account Executive, PR Campaign Manager, and finally, PR Strategy Lead. In their current role, Jamie uses data analysis and audience insights to create PR strategies aligned with commercial and SEO objectives. They conduct backlink audits, lead research-led campaigns, and identify growth opportunities and target media niches. They consistently secure coverage in national, regional, lifestyle, and trade publications.
Throughout their career, Jamie has demonstrated strong communication and media relations skills, consistently securing coverage for clients and receiving recognition for their work.
Jamie Crane holds a Master's Degree in Forensic Linguistics from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, which was obtained from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Communication from Cardiff University, graduating in 2015. Jamie completed their A-level studies at All Saints Sixth Form, York from 2010 to 2012, focusing on English Language, Physical Education, Ethics and Philosophy, and English Literature. Their secondary education took place at Manor C.E. School from 2005 to 2010, where they attained GCSE qualifications in English, Maths, Science, French, History, Physical Education, Food Technology, and Religious Studies.
