Vice President, Head Of Network Operations at Jazz

Muhammad Ali has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Muhammad has worked at Jazz as the Vice President and Head of Network Operations since March 2020. In this role, they are responsible for data center facilities management, power planning for the network, and ensuring smooth operations for internal and external data center customers.

Prior to their current position, Muhammad worked at Jazz as the Head of Nationwide Operations Support from December 2016 to March 2020. During this time, they led various operations-related projects, managed vendors, and enforced contractual KPIs.

Before joining Jazz, Muhammad was at Warid Telecom where they held multiple roles. From April 2015 to December 2017, they served as the Senior Manager of Technical Strategy, responsible for devising technical strategies aligned with corporate objectives. From June 2008 to April 2015, they were the Head of RF Planning & Design, leading a team of RF engineers and overseeing network growth and transformation. From November 2004 to June 2008, they served as the Regional Manager (formerly Assistant Manager) for Radio Network Design in the Central Region, playing a key role in launching Warid Telecom in Pakistan.

Muhammad also has experience working at Motorola as an RF Consultant to Mobilink from November 2003 to October 2004, where they provided support for RF design and planning activities. Muhammad also worked as a Systems Engineer for GSM Planning from October 2001 to October 2003, where they were involved in network rollout, planning, and optimization projects for Mobilink in Pakistan.

Muhammad Ali completed their education in the following institutions:

1. National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics.

2. Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) from 1995 to 1997. Muhammad obtained a FSc degree in Pre-Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Muhammad Ali also obtained several certifications in various fields, including data science, cloud architecture, DevOps, IT and cybersecurity risk management, cloud computing, time management, Scrum, customer analytics, data analysis, contracts, and leadership. The institutions providing these certifications include IBM, LinkedIn, University of Pennsylvania, Microsoft, Harvard University, and Northwestern University.
