Edwin Clark

Edwin Clark, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Edwin is currently serving as the VP of Research, Evaluation, and External Innovation at Jazz Pharmaceuticals since January 2020. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at different companies, including AstraZeneca where they were the Executive Director and Senior Project Leader for Oncology iMED from 2012 to 2020. Before that, they worked as the Vice President of Translational Medicine at ArQule from 2010 to 2012, and as the Executive Director and Oncology Discovery Site Lead at Merck from 2008 to 2010. Edwin also served as the Group Director of Oncology Discovery Medicine at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2003 to 2008 and as a Senior Scientist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals from 2000 to 2003. Edwin began their career as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1999. In 1989, they embarked on a doctoral program in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Driven by their curiosity and commitment, Edwin devoted himself to their studies, conducting groundbreaking research in the field. After five years of intense academic work, they successfully completed their PhD in 1994.
