Aaron Herman

Aaron Herman is the Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at JBG SMITH, where they provide transactional and business counsel with a focus on REIT governance, compliance, and real property matters. With extensive experience in significant transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and private equity syndications, Aaron has successfully led legal efforts in high-stakes negotiations and compliance oversight. Earlier in their career, Aaron practiced at Venable LLP, gaining expertise in credit facility transactions and intellectual property litigation. They hold a BA in American Studies from Fordham University and a JD from The George Washington University Law School.
