Gary Jackson

Regional Engineering Manager Residential Services at JBG SMITH

Gary Jackson has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Gary started their career at The JBG Companies in 1993, where they served as a Senior Maintenance Manager and Chief Engineer, overseeing property maintenance and central plant management for five residential communities. During this time, they implemented energy management systems and prepared budgets for operations and capital expenses.

In 2007, they joined Stellar Management as the Chief Engineer and Maintenance Director. Gary managed the daily operations and maintenance functions for three luxury towers, including central boiler rooms, cooling towers, elevators, and grounds. Gary also developed and managed a maintenance department that efficiently handled 50 work requests per day.

From 2010 to 2013, Gary worked at Archstone as a Senior Mechanical Manager, where they managed a portfolio of 17 high-rise towers. Gary provided managerial support for service managers and oversaw capital projects, community inspections, and contract execution.

In 2014, they joined Vornado Realty Trust as the Operations Manager for Engineering Services. In this role, they served as the Residential Operations Manager for the Washington DC region.

Most recently, Gary has been working at JBG SMITH since 2017 as the Regional Engineering Manager for Residential Services.

Gary Jackson attended Parsons College from 1970 to 1972, although the degree and field of study are unknown.
