Toby Cooper

Toby Cooper has more than 20 years of experience in the field of information technology. Toby is currently working as an Information Technology Contractor at JBG SMITH since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior IT Advisor at Hartman Executive Advisors from 2020 to 2021. Toby also held multiple roles at Comstock Companies, including the position of Director of Information Technology from 2018 to 2019. Toby previously worked as a Senior IT Advisor at Hartman Executive Advisors from 2017 to 2018. From 2012 to 2017, Toby served as the Director of Information Technologies at Foulger Pratt. Toby was also the IT Director at Valley Proteins, Inc from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Toby has experience as an IT Manager at Foulger Pratt from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they held various positions at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, including Director of Information Technologies, Network Manager, and Network Administrator from 1997 to 2009. Toby started their career as a LAN Technician at PERSONS SERVICES, INC and RPS from 1994 to 1997.

Toby Cooper's education history begins in 1980 when they attended T.C. Williams High School, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. From 1984 to 1986, they studied at Old Dominion University, majoring in Management Information Systems but did not earn a degree. In 1987, they attended Northern Virginia Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) in Business Administration between 1987 and 1989. Toby continued their education at the same institution and earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Information Systems from 1989 to 1991. In 2009, Toby obtained a Master Certificate in IS/IT Project Management from Villanova University. Currently, they are pursuing a Regents Bachelor of Arts degree at West Virginia University, expected to complete in 2025.
