Tim Marks

Tim Marks has a diverse work experience in various industries. Tim started their career as a music educator at Baltimore County Public Schools from 1997 to 1999 and later worked as a music educator at Garrett County Public Schools from 2000 to 2001. Tim then transitioned into the field of software development and worked as a software developer at Simonton Windows & Doors from 2003 to 2007. Tim joined the Bureau of the Fiscal Service in 2007 and held multiple roles including software developer, team lead, and software engineering manager. Tim implemented automated build, test, and deployment processes across the enterprise and supported mission-critical systems. Tim is currently working at JBS Custom Software Solutions as a Scrum Master and Delivery Lead, demonstrating their expertise in software delivery and agile methodologies.

Tim Marks holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from West Virginia University at Parkersburg, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned another Bachelor's degree in Education from West Virginia University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their educational background, Tim Marks has further enhanced their qualifications with certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty from Microsoft in April 2023, and AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023.
