Rose Shapiro is an experienced professional in community development and civic engagement, currently serving as the Community Development Manager at the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs since August 2022. Prior roles include Civic Education Fellow at the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, where workshop design and facilitation were primary responsibilities. As Foundation Manager for Richie's Spirit Foundation, Rose oversaw a College Scholarship competition and managed significant grant allocations. Additional experience encompasses roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell’s Office, focusing on economic policy and victim services evaluation. Rose has also contributed to educational outreach through facilitation of violence prevention workshops and has conducted research in linguistic psychology and public health during earlier academic pursuits. Rose holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the same institution.
