Matt Ball

Matt Ball currently serves as Group Head of Assurance at JD Sports Fashion plc, where responsibilities include building the Risk Management Framework and the Internal Audit function. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions at Flutter Entertainment Plc, including Business Audit Director and Head of Audit, overseeing significant internal control reviews and audit integrations. Previously, Matt was the Head of Internal Audit at William Hill, managing audit and risk assurance activities in a major FTSE-listed company. Early career experience includes ten years at Deloitte as a Senior Manager in Enterprise Risk Services, specializing in internal audit functions and third-party risk management. Matt holds an MSc in International Finance from UCL and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
