William Samson

William is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Samson performs a wide variety of services including non-invasive procedures and surgery of the face, breast, and body. His approach is to carefully understand each patient's concerns and goals, to inform and empower patients to make sound decisions, and to mutually arrive at an individualized plan to meet their goals.

Dr. Samson has previously served as Associate Chief of Plastic Surgery and Director of the Academic Program at Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he has trained over a hundred plastic surgery residents. He has been a speaker at national society meetings and has been published in numerous medical journals. Dr. Samson is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and several other national and regional plastic surgery societies. He has been consistently nominated as Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, and he has been listed in New York Magazine’s Best Doctors Issue for consecutive years.

Dr. Samson received his BS in Biology from Tufts University and his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed five years of General Surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell, where he served as chief resident. He trained in Plastic Surgery at Emory University and at the Combined Cornell – Columbia University Plastic Surgery program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, Dr. Samson spent a year doing cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute – Harvard Medical School and he completed a one-year fellowship in Microsurgery and Cancer Reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
