Kurt Michael

Kurt Michael, Ph.D., currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the University of Utah and as the Senior Clinical Director at The Jed Foundation. With extensive experience in the field of psychology, Kurt Michael has held a consultant role at CAMS-care since January 2020 and maintains a licensed psychologist position in private practice since November 1999. Additionally, Kurt Michael is a Stanley R. Aeschleman Distinguished Professor of Psychology (Emeritus) at Appalachian State University, focusing on school mental health and psychotherapy outcomes while supervising training psychologists. Previous experience includes a medical psychology internship at the Duke University Health System. Kurt Michael's academic background comprises a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology from Utah State University, as well as a BA cum laude in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
