Bhaskar Basu

Bhaskar Basu is currently the Vice President of Equity Research focusing on India Financials—Non Banks and Metals at Jefferies. Previously, they held the position of Vice President in Equity Research for Metals and Mining at Merrill Lynch from 2007 to 2015 and gained early experience in equity research at Morgan Stanley from 2003 to 2007. Bhaskar's career began as a Marketing Engineer in the Power Generation Segment at ABB between 1996 and 1998. They completed a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and earned an MBA in Finance and Systems from XLRI Jamshedpur.
