Derek Johnson has a strong background in biotech equity research and healthcare investment banking, currently serving at Jefferies since November 2020. Prior experience includes a senior associate role in biotech equity research at Guggenheim Partners from 2018 to 2021, and a position as an equity research associate at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey from 2017 to 2018. Derek also held the role of venture fellow at Flagship Pioneering for a brief period in 2015.
